U6 - Birth Years 2020-2021
The U6 program is designed for children who:
(a) are 4 or 5 years old by:
April 1st for Spring season
September 1st for Fall
(b) in Young 5s
(c) in Kindergarten
(d) have played soccer and/or are actively engaged in practices and games
We work to create an exciting atmosphere for players of all skill levels to learn the game of soccer, develop skills, and most importantly have fun!

When
Spring season is April through May and has 6 games.
Fall season is September through October and has 6-7 games.
Where
Practices and games are held at Tate Park (Clinton).
The U6 field is located near the front of the park between the entrance and the bridge.

Practices
Teams practice once per week for 45 to 60 minutes.
Individual coaches will determine the practice days and times.
Games
Where are practices and games typically held?
Example: Practices and home games are held at the RecPlex. Games may be played across the metro region.

Example: Teams practice 2-3 times per week.
Games
Games are played on Saturday mornings at Tate Park (Clinton).
There are two, 15 minute halves with a 5 minute halftime. Substitutes are unlimited.
Jerseys
Team jerseys are provided.
League Rules
- Size 3 ball
- 4 vs 4 (no goalie)
- Two 15-minute halves
- No heading allowed
- Unlimited substitutions
- Player throw-ins
Equipment
Players will be provided with a soccer ball at each practice.
Shin guards are to be worn during practices and games.
Cleats or comfortable shoes to run in, such as tennis shoes.
Not Allowed
- Jewelry
- Earrings (not allowed under any circumstances)
- Hats with a brim
