U8 - Birth Years 2016-2017
The U8 programs of Clinton and Tecumseh work together to create an exciting atmosphere for players of all skill levels to learn the game of soccer, develop their skills, and most importantly have fun!

When
Spring season is April through May and has 6 games.
Fall season is September through October and has 6-7 games.
Where
Practices are held at Tate Park (Clinton). The U8 field is located between the playground and the river.
Games are held at Tate Park (Clinton) and Cal Zorn Park (Tecumseh).
Practices
Teams practice 1-2 times per week for 60 minutes each.
Individual coaches will determine the practice days and times.
Games
Games are played on Thursday evenings at Tate Park (Clinton) or Cal Zorn Park (Tecumseh).
There are four, 10 minute quarters.
Equipment
Players will be provided with a soccer ball at each practice.
League Rules
- Size 3 ball
- 6 vs 6 (no goalie)
- Four 10-minute quarters
- No heading allowed
- Unlimited substitutions
Uniforms
Team jerseys are provided.
Shin guards and soccer socks are to be worn during practices and games.
Cleats are highly recommended.
Not Allowed
- Jewelry
- Earrings (not allowed under any circumstances)
- Hats with a brim
